The Lisbon Aqueduct Mãe d’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir has a Hall-style church plan, approximately square, with sides of approximately 30 m, having an area at the water level of the tank of approximately 1072 m2 and a ceiling height from there of 10.5 m (effective 9.5 m). The volume of the building, discounting the tank full of water (a situation verified during acquisitions and acoustic recordings), is 10184 m3 (the total volume of the building including the water tank is approximately 15780 m3).
Main materials: mixed masonry, sprayed and painted plaster, limestone (lioz) stonework, water, glass.
Measurement points and source location
The sound source was placed in 2 positions within the Mãe d’Água Reservoir: in the center of the reservoir (S1), and above the spring, also in a centered position (S2). Acoustic acquisitions and recordings were carried out in 2 locations (Pos1, Pos2).
